Good Bye and Good Riddance to the Pope

Good Bye and Good Riddance to the Pope

After several years Pope Benedict, aka Joseph Ratzinger has abdicated as Pope. Under his reign many molester/priests have gone unpunished. Karol Wojtyla, otherwise known as Pope John Paul II could be considered the Molester Protector Pope, while Benedict, was the ex-Nazi (Ratzinger was one of the Hilter Youth as a child).  Under both John-Paul II and Ratzinger,  numerous molester/priests have gone unpunished and under their conservative outlook of Catholicism many ex-Catholics, myself included, have left the Church forever. What is most interesting about Benedict is that he is the first pope in centuries to abdicate before his death. Hopefully the next pope will hold a more contemporary outlook, but I wouldn't hold my breath to bet on it. Also, it is a disgrace that Cardinal Bernard Law was allowed to advance in the Church in Rome even though he reputedly looked the other way while the molestation scandal occurred Boston and elsewhere arguably due to an antiquated policy of clerical celibacy.
