It shouldn't surprise anyone who is forced to take the brunt of the 'sacrifices' which deficit reduction entails. Transgressions of the rich, greedy and powerful largely caused this huge mess, but the poor and powerless are the ones who have been penalized for it. It seems that today's so-called leaders and elected politicians, especially conservative Republicans and those in the Tea Party movement, have little or no awareness or concern of the concept of Social Justice.
